Welcome Dr. Grace Kim – CanMEDS Professional Lead

Dear Colleagues,
I am very pleased to announce and warmly welcome our newest community partner, Dr. Grace Kim.

Following a recent call for applications for the CanMEDS Professional Lead role, we are delighted to offer this important leadership position to Dr. Kim.

Dr. Kim completed her residency training in the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Toronto, where she trained from July 2019 through to her graduation in June 2024. Following this, she completed the NYU Langone Orthopedic Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship.

Dr. Kim returned to Toronto last year and has been contributing to our division as a Clinical Associate at Toronto Western Hospital. She will begin her practice at Michael Garron Hospital in September 2026, with a specialization in Hand and Wrist Surgery. In addition to her clinical expertise, she brings tremendous enthusiasm and commitment to resident education and professional development.

Dr. Kim is eager to begin advancing the Professionalism portfolio within our division and has already scheduled a virtual session with our residents on August 7, 2026. Further details regarding this session will be shared with residents closer to the date.

Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Dr. Kim to this new leadership role and to our community partnership team. We look forward to the many valuable contributions she will bring to our division.
