Mission Statement

The University of Toronto’s Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery is the largest academic division in North America.

With over 60 surgeons, 3 senior scientists, 26 residents and 17 fellows working at 12 units in 10 teaching hospitals in the greater Toronto area all under the University of Toronto academic mission the Division is well-recognized across the country and internationally as a leader in research, education and clinical care. Our reputation for excellence and leadership has been built on our commitment to innovation, a highly-skilled faculty and passionate alumni practising across the globe and a synergistic partnership with the Department of Surgery and teaching hospitals at the University of Toronto.

The strength of the Division lies in our broad exposure and the ability to collaborate with all medical subspecialties, the lack of anatomic domain, the breadth and depth of clinical expertise within the division members and a tireless dedication to improve health by challenging boundaries that lead to innovative approaches to care, education and important research.
