The Ross Tilley Burn Centre is a state-of-the-art facility providing tertiary care for the majority of burn injury patients in the province. The patient care team includes plastic surgeons, intensivists, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, social workers and chaplains. Junior residents are an integral part of that team participating in all aspects of patient care as well as research and education. In addition to providing intensive care and participating in surgery, residents attend the weekly outpatient clinic to become involved in post burn rehabilitation and reconstruction.

The trauma/onoclogy team has its own clinic, offices, minor procedure room and research offices within the hospital. Two days a week the Division also has clinics in the Odette Cancer Clinic. The team’s focus is on complex trauma care, specifically craniofacial injuries and reconstruction and oncologic breast  and skin malignancy reconstruction. Residents have twice weekly teaching rounds. Residents participate in all aspects of clinical care, outpatient clinics, main OR, minor procedures, inpatient care, as well as having opportunities for research.
