This includes but is not limited to expander/implants, pedicled flaps, and direct to implant acellular dermal matrix assisted reconstruction. It also includes procedures such as correction of congenital and developmental breast deformity, breast reduction, mastopexy and breast augmentation. Residents also receive training in aesthetic surgery that includes procedures of the face, breast and body.

There is a faculty-supervised aesthetic surgical day in which the resident performs aesthetic procedures and two days working with Dr. Brett Beber performing a combination of breast, skin and aesthetic surgery. A highlight of this rotation is that the resident is responsible for formulating a surgical plan and performing surgery while supervised by a faculty member. The daily operation of the program is overseen by a resident clinic administrator. Teaching seminars are presented throughout the rotation and there is an opportunity for research in aesthetic surgery to be undertaken under the direction of the faculty.
