The Ontario chapters of the Canadian Global Surgery Trainees Alliance (CGSTA) are hosting an event titled “Why Global Surgery Matters: An Introduction” on April 25th! Dr. Johanna Riesel is a craniofacial surgeon at SickKids and one of the contributors to the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery (considered the birth of formalized global surgery).
