- Understand the concept of sustainable capacity building and how it differs from short-term mission work.
- Appreciate the importance of partnerships and local ownership in strengthening surgical care globally.
- Recognize the unique contributions plastic surgeons can make toward improving access and equity in surgical care worldwide.
We encourage all faculty and trainees to attend in person for what promises to be a memorable and enriching experience.
Please note that there will be additional lectures for the residents in the afternoon of September 18th and a Craniofacial Skills Lab for the residents on September 19th in lieu of their AHD.
The Division of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Making Your Mark Visiting Lecture is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. A QR Code will be displayed for those in attendance who will be able to confirm their attendance at this event and claim CME credits.
