Save the Date – Research Day May 8, 2026 with Dr. Claire Temple-Oberle

This year’s Research Day will take place on Friday, May 8th, 2026, and we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Claire Temple-Oberle as our Visiting Professor.

Dr. Temple-Oberle is a distinguished plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. Her clinical focus includes breast and oncologic reconstruction and melanoma. She leads the cutaneous clinic at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and directs the plastic surgery resident research program at the University of Calgary.

With a remarkable academic and clinical background that includes training at Yale University, Queen’s University, the University of Western Ontario, and prestigious fellowships at MD Anderson Cancer Centre and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, Dr. Temple-Oberle brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that we are excited to share with our community.

On Thursday, May 7, 2026 the Visiting Professor will meet with the PGY2-PGY5 and SSTP residents only (during the day). The evening of Thursday, May 7th, 2026 will be dedicated to a UofT GTA Lectureship given by Dr. Temple-Oberle (details to follow).

Friday, May 8, 2026 will mark the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery Research Symposium, which will be open to all faculty, residents, fellows and alumni.
