This event will spotlight the distinguished Dr. Andrea Arnaud Moreira, Associate Professor | University of Pittsburgh | Chief of Plastic Surgery at Magee Women’s Hospital | Director of the Breast Reconstruction Service Line | Department of Plastic Surgery | University of Pittsburgh Medical Centers.
Dr. Moreira received her medical degree from Universidade Federal do Pará in Brazil and completed General Surgery and Plastic Surgery residencies in São Paulo, Brazil before moving to the United States. There she completed Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery Research Fellowships with Dr. Ian Jackson in Southfield, MI and Dr. James Zins at the Cleveland Clinic in OH before her General Surgery residency and Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, OH.
Dr. Moreira has developed a mastery in both reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery and is a proven innovator with a major interest in breast sensory recovery and robotic-assisted plastic surgery.

- Understand the latest evidence and evolving criteria for patient selection in nipple-sparing mastectomy and robotic NSM
- Evaluate innovations in implant-based breast reconstruction following nipple-sparing mastectomy — such as new devices, meshes, and nipple neurotization
- Integrate current best practices and emerging technologies into clinical decision-making

Please note that there will also be hybrid Visiting Professor Rounds on Friday, November 21st (a separate notice will follow), leading into additional lectures for the residents for their AHD.
The Division of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Making Your Mark Visiting Lecture is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
