Plastic surgery transforms lives every day. From helping children born with cleft lip, to rebuilding after cancer or trauma, to restoring confidence through aesthetic care — these procedures go far beyond the operating room. At the University of Toronto’s Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, we are dedicated to advancing this life-changing work so that patients in Canada and around the world can heal, recover, and thrive.
The Division brings together more than 60 surgeons, three senior scientists, and nearly 50 residents and fellows working across 10 teaching hospitals in the Greater Toronto Area. Together, we form the largest academic division of plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery in North America, recognized nationally and internationally for leadership in research, education, and patient care.
With donor support, we can accelerate the pace of discovery, expand educational opportunities, and strengthen access to surgical care — not only in Canada, but also through our global partnerships that train local providers and improve health systems worldwide. Your gift directly fuels innovation, helps educate the next generation of surgeons, and supports patients whose lives are profoundly changed by this work.
Ways to Give
Online
Make your gift online to the Plastic Surgery Chair’s Fund or the Dr. Nancy H. McKee Chair’s Priority Fund. You will receive an immediate email confirmation with your tax receipt attached. Every gift is sincerely appreciated.
Monthly Gifts
Monthly gifts are a great way to demonstrate your ongoing support for the Division. Your contribution provides a steady source of support for emerging opportunities such as cutting-edge research and student awards.
Gifts of Securities
Gifts of appreciated securities receive two tax savings: a tax credit and zero capital gains inclusion on the disposition of the securities. These savings make appreciated securities a very tax-effective way to support the department.
Matching Gifts
If you or your spouse work for a matching gift company, your contribution could have twice the impact. To see if your company has a matching gift program, consult your Human Resource department or check online.
Planned Giving
Planned giving allows you to plan future gifts to maximize tax and other benefits, while leaving a legacy that will transform lives. Many options exist for charitable gift planning including: bequests in your will, cash gifts, stock transfers, gifts of RRSPs or RRIFs and life insurance policies.
