Dr. Yasser El-Sheikh is active staff plastic surgeon at North York General Hospital. His reconstructive practice focus is in hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgery. He is the in-house aesthetic plastic surgeon at Centric Health Surgical Centre-Toronto.
Dr. El-Sheikh earned his medical degree from McMaster University Medical School in 2004. He completed his Plastic Surgery Residency at McMaster University, and then the Hand and Microsurgery Senior Clinical Fellowship at The Buncke Clinic in San Francisco in 2010.
Dr. El-Sheikh is an active member of The Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, The American Society for Surgery of the Hand, The American Association for Hand Surgery.
Dr. El-Sheikh is The Medical Officer for The Canadian Sport Climbing Team, Expert Member of the UIAA International Climbing Association Medical Commission, Director of The Canadian Climbing Medicine Symposium and Founder of Climbing Medicine Canada.
