Biography:
Dr. Trevor M. Born BSc M.D. F.R.C.S.(C) Board Certified Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Trevor Born is one of Toronto's most respected cosmetic plastic surgeons with a practice at the acclaimed Toronto Institute of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Born is a clinica11ecturer at the University of Toronto in the Division of Plastic Surgery.
Educated with a Bachelor of Science Degree at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario and receiving his Doctrine of Medicine Degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Dr. Born went on to complete postgraduate training with a surgical internship at Mt. Sinai Hospital and a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Born attended the fellowship training in California with Dr. Bruce Connell with emphasis on facial rejuvenation. He also attended fellowship training and cosmetic surgery with Dr. Daniel Marchac in Paris and Dr. Cedric George in Zurich, Switzerland. He joined in association with Dr. Thomas Bell at the Toronto Institute of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in 1997.

Dr. Born is a member of a number of major organizations including The Ontario Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. In addition to his physician memberships, Dr. Born contributes extensively to the ongoing education of residents in his field, as well as presenting papers on the latest techniques in facial rejuvenation and body contouring. He presents regularly at both local meetings and international meetings, particularly with an emphasis on facial contouring with micro-fat grafting and soft tissue augmentation, with permanent and non-permanent soft-tissue fillers. He has advanced expertise in the areas of the use of Botox cosmetically and has initiated revolutionary indications for the Perlane injectable dermal filler. Dr. Born specializes in breast surgery including breast augmentation and breast lifting, as well as body contouring through liposuction.
Dr. Born is the son of one of Canada's pioneering Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Gunter Born of Hamilton, and the brother of Leslie Born, a Pill candidate in Medical Sciences with a focus on research in irritability and has international acclaim in this field of research. Dr. Born lives in Toronto, Ontario and is an avid athlete with a wide range of interests in different sports, including mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, sailing and wind surfing.
